Abstract
Local government units process millions of pieces of information every day. The procedure of information processing can be carried out thanks to state of the art and efficient IT systems developed upon the latest software and equipment. The paper presents specific examples of applying modern technological solutions which allow fast and safe functioning of local government units and foster the progress in rendering public services electronically.The papers published in the ASEJ Journal (alternate title: Zeszyty Naukowe Wyższej Szkoły Finansów i Prawa w Bielsku-Białej) - published by the University of Applied Sciences in Bielsko-Biała, are online open access distributed (Creative Commons Attribution CC-BY-NC 4.0 license).
